Ozella Wright Vandenberg, age 98, passed away on April 29, 2021.  She was born on December 6, 1922 to the late John Ratcliffe and Dottie Watts Wright in Pascagoula, MS.

Ms. Vandenberg graduated from Beatrice High School in 1939 and afterwards attended Business College.  She began working for Miller Machinery and Supply Company in Jacksonville and Miami, FL until her retirement in 1977.  She moved to Atmore to help take care of her parents.  She was a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Vandenberg; her brothers, John Velpoe Wright and Donald Leon Wright and three nieces, Gloria Wright Weldon, Melissa Tingle Morris and Stacey Weldon Carter.

She is survived by three brothers, Jack (Yevonne) Wright of Atmore, AL, Ryan Wright of Vestavia Hills, AL and Bryan Wright of Tucker, GA; ten nieces and nephews and many other close friends and family.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Tew and Rev. James Hill officiating.  Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Atmore, AL.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
