Katie Johns Cotton of Huxford, AL, age 84, passed away on February 2, 2022 in Foley, AL.

She was born on October 29, 1937 in Evergreen, AL to James Warren Johns and Carlie Lee Robinson Johns.  She was the former bookkeeper at Faith Chapel Funeral Home and Fisher-Pou Funeral Home in Pensacola, FL.  She owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetics in Atmore, AL at Trammel Square and Katie's Lawn Service before retiring.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Cotton and her step-daughter, Vicky Lynn Bell.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Conway of Foley, AL; her step-daughter, Carol (Glen) Dreadin of Huxford, AL; six grandchildren, MAJ Benjamin Daniel (Ann Heathe), Russell O'Farrell, MAJ Steven O'Farrell (Raquel), Lee Cruit (Michelle), Les Cruit (Pam) and Allison Clark (Josh); twelve great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews along with her special dog, Puddin.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Peebles officiating.  Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens in Atmore, AL.

Active pallbearers will be MAJ Benjamin Daniel, Russell O'Farrell, Glen Dreadin, Lee Cruit, Chris Conway and David Bell.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Baldwin Animal Shelter or Huxford Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Katie Johns Cotton.
