Reaves on August 7, 1953, and they were married for 36 years before he passed away on August 9, 1989.  She graduated from W.S. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John D. Reaves and her eight siblings-Richard L. Barnes, Ila Merle Franklin, Peggy Grice, Harold Barnes, Joan Nix, Marilyn Barnes, Robert (Bobby) Barnes, and Wendell Barnes.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Kenny) Hoomes and Joanie Holsonback; her four grandchildren, Jonathan (Anna) Hoomes, Joshua (Laura) Hoomes, Jacob Holsonback and Carrie (Brett) Glover; five great-grandchildren, Noah Hoomes, Cade Hoomes, Cole Hoomes, Chloe Hoomes, and Ben Glover; her sister-in-law, Barbara Barnes and numerous nieces and nephews.
