In Loving Memory of Joseph Clyde Lowe

April 24, 1948 – May 10, 2025

With deep love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Joseph Clyde Lowe, who departed this life on earth May 10, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on April 24, 1948, Joe lived a life full of joy, compassion, and cherished traditions. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and honor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Lowe, and his children: Ashley Lowe, Stacey Lowe (Gary), and Tracey Reed (Joel).  As "Paw Paw," he was deeply loved by his grandchildren: Rickey, Makenzie, Britney, Lewis, Glen, Arianna, and Alyssa; his four great-grandchildren, and four bonus grandchildren who brought him tremendous joy. He was a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews, each one was held very close to his heart. He is also survived by his sisters: Pamela Williams, Robin Smith (Jeff), and Vicky Lowe Hill.

Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Lowe; his father, Sheldon Lowe; and his grandparents, Ruth and Fred Byrd; Best Friends: Joe O'Barr, Lenzy "Pee-Wee" Williams and Mike Parker.

Joe was a beloved husband, devoted father, proud Paw Paw, cherished uncle, loyal friend, and loving brother. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family touched everyone who was blessed to have known him. Joe found delight in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to fish, ride his golf cart, dance, sing, and cheer loudly for his favorite football team, Alabama. He never missed an episode of Gunsmoke, enjoyed playing his lottery tickets and casino games, and found the most happiness in the company of family and friends. He was always the life of the party.

Joe was also more than just the life of the party—he was the heart of the family. His laughter and funny jokes would fill every room. Whether he was dancing like nobody was watching or singing off-key with his made-up microphone just to make someone laugh, Joe reminded us to enjoy the moment and not take life too seriously. Joe didn't just lift spirits—he led by example. He always showed all of us how to face life with courage, humor, and with an open heart. Joe leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless joyful memories—a life well-lived and well-loved. His compassion for others was a reflection of the path he walked. His memories left on this earth will echo endlessly in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
