Jeanelle Forte McKissack, age 86, passed away on November 10, 2022 in Atmore, AL.  She was born on October 31, 1936 in Robinsonville, AL to Grady and Lula Moye Forte.  She dedicated her life to caring for her family and her home.  Jeanelle loved gardening and flowers of all kinds.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.R. "Mac" McKissack; her children: Tilda Jerkins and Eddie Jerkins; her siblings: James Forte, Thelma Gray, Maggie Burch and Douglas Forte.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa J. (Ted) Suttle of Canoe, AL; her grandchildren: Sarah (Tyler) Wilson and Rebecca (Joe) Sicard along with many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Cindy Still officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
