Hilton W. Peavy, age 76, of Poarch, AL passed away on April 30, 2023 in Pensacola, FL. He was born on January 26, 1947 in Brewton, AL to Price and Alice Taylor Peavy. During his career, he served during the Vietnam-Era with the 101 ^st Airborne Division. He lived his life to the fullest with no regrets. He was a retired Army Ranger 1 SG and had a career full of accolades and success. Our country lost one of its greatest leaders today. They just don't make them like him anymore. He also owned and operated Peavy Trucking. He was a beloved father and mentor. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jessie Mae Peavy; his brother, Colas Peavy and his sister, Dorothy Thompson.

He is survived by his sons, Shannon (Memori) Peavy of McDavid, FL and Darby (Kim) Peavy of Nokomis, AL; his daughter, Chastity Peavy of Poarch, AL; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Breceda and Bro. Dennis Terry officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Cemetery in Poarch, AL with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore, AL.
