Ann was a dedicated member and pianist at Lottie United Methodist Church. She will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love for family and friends, as well as the many meaningful relationships she cultivated during her career as a librarian at Jefferson Davis Community College. She will be remembered by her nieces and nephews for enriching their lives by organizing special outings, including canoeing, birdwatching, theatre visits, and dining out together. For many, she fostered a lifelong love of reading, never missed a birthday, and frequently brightened days with thoughtful notes or cards. Her interest in family history and genealogy was matched by her passion for bird watching and flowers. Ann was known for her generosity, often inviting others to enjoy sunsets from her porch—affectionately referred to as "Porch TV." She was actively involved with the local historical society and the FSHD Society. She and her husband, Michael, were active in many nature conservation groups including the Nature Conservancy, Alabama Rivers Alliance, Alabama Wildflower Society, and Alabama Hiking Trail Society.
