Earl Smith, Jr., 91, of Atmore, AL, passed away February 18, 2026 in Poarch, AL.  He was born on October 19, 1934, in Poarch, AL, to Earl Smith, Sr., and Emily McGhee.  Earl was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and attended Poarch Community Church.  He also had a long career as a paperwood truck driver.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Smith, Sr., and Emily McGhee; his brother, Billy Joe Gibson; most of his Aunts and Uncles; and his son-in-law, Newell Rivers.

Earl is survived by his children; Earline Smith Rivers, Elizabeth Smith (John) Harris, Janice Miller, Elma Darlene Noquesd, Loretta Smith Houston, Lanell Smith (Dennis) Domagala, Sarah C. Smith, Bonnie S. Heath, and Garland Smith; a host of grandchildren and special grands; Brent Lee Sullivan Sr., Bruce Wayne Smith Sr., Lisa Ann (Jackie) Jones, and Tammy Miller Phillips;  special great grands, Brent Lee Sullivan Jr "June Bug", Shawna Nicole Smith, Thomas Stephens, special friends; Mr. Bo Williams, Terry Smith, Shanta Rivers and Janice Byrd, cousins; Terry McGhee, Phillip Martin, Terry (Teresa) Smith, Jerry Sells, Julia Sells, Tony Sells, and Gloria Jean Krafka Sells. As well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2026 at 11:30 A.M. at Poarch Community Church in Poarch, AL, with Bro. Brian Eskelinen and cousin, Natasha Rolin officiating.  Interment will follow at Judson Cemetery in Poarch, AL.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, from 10:30 A.M. until service time at 11:30 A.M. at Poarch Community Church.
