Dorothy C. Allen, 90 of Atmore, AL. passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Atmore. She was born to the late Lewie D. and  Mattie Dixon Cobb on May 11, 1928 in Daleville, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dr. Dewitt Allen, two brothers Lonnie Allen Cobb and Dr. James Ray Cobb. She served along side her husband for many years in the ministry as a church secretary and she was a mother to many and a friend to all.

She is survived by her son Schuyler Dewitt Allen of Atmore, AL and a granddaughter Jenifer Allen (John) Blanton of Atmore, AL. Two great grandchildren John Aaron Blanton and Kyle Allen Blanton both of Atmore, AL.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11 AM at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church with Bro. Schuyler Dewitt Allen officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mobile, AL.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 6 PM until 8 PM from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Gideons for Bibles in memory of Mrs. Dorothy C. Allen.
