Debra Sue Smith, 64, of Nokomis, AL, passed away on April 6, 2026.  She was born on September 9, 1961, to Bernard Cunningham and Gloria Long Cunningham.

Debra spent time working in Home Health Care before retiring as a Teacher's Aide at Rachel Patterson Elementary School.  She loved Alabama football and spending time with her grandbabies.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Debra is survived by two sons, Blake (Alysha) Cunningham of Nokomis, AL, and Dillan (Caitlyn) Smith of Atmore, AL.    She is also survived by two sisters, Sherry Lambert of Atmore, AL., and Rita Combs of Bay Minette, AL., and 8 grandchildren: Adrienne, Traegan, Kaydence, Blakelynn, Cole, Marlee, Tuse, and Casen.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Bubba Rolin officiating.  Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Atmore, AL.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Trent Flowers, Corey Flowers, Jerry Walker, Bill Walker, Tadd Huskey, and Cameron Murphy.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
