Charles Wayne Rutherford, age 68, of Poarch, AL passed away on March 8, 2021 in Atmore, AL.  He was born on February 5, 1953 in Atmore, AL to Charles Webster Rutherford and the late Myrtle Stacey Emmons.  He is a Vietnam War Era veteran who served honorably in the United States Army. He was a member of Healing Waters Church of Bay Minette, AL.

He is preceded in death by his mother; Myrtle Stacey Emmons and his sister, Teresa Rutherford Ammons.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Stella Rolin Rutherford; his son, Christopher (Jennifer) Rutherford of Poarch, AL; his daughter, Brandi Rutherford of Poarch, AL; his father, Charles Webster (Debbie) Rutherford of Atmore, AL; his step-brothers, Rusty (Mandy) Emmons of Atmore, AL and Thomas Grey Emmons of Foley, AL; his sister, Kristina Rutherford of Atmore, AL; his brother-in-law, Gary Anderson of Atmore, AL; his grandchildren; Wyatt (Patricia) Rutherford, Rowdy Rutherford, Melea (Evan) Graham, Sophia Rutherford, Kaylee (Tyler)Sanspree, Addi Jones, Macey Jones and Brooke Presley and a special friend, Theresa Rutherford.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Daniels officiating.  Interment will follow at New Home Cemetery in Poarch, AL with Military Honors.

Active pallbearers will be Randal Daniel, Charles "Bubba" O'Barr, Chad Johnson, Dale Lisenby, Greg Hall and Marty Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers will be George Allen Daniel and David "Dave" Rolin.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
