Carolyn S. Smith, age 88, of Atmore, AL passed away on May 11, 2021.  She was born on October 24, 1932 in Atmore, AL to the late Jackson Lafayette and Thelma Viola Bratcher Sharpless.  She was very talented at cross stitching and loved baking. She was a member of McRae United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce Smith; her siblings, Waldine Sharpless Argroves, Joyce Sharpless Hogg and Carlton Prescott Sharpless.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Ladon Smith of Atmore, AL; her daughter, Anita Mancil of Atmore, AL; her brothers, Jack (Betty) Sharpless of Robinsonville, AL and Ronnie (Margaret) Sharpless of Gautier, MS; her sisters, Lynn Sharpless Fralick of Walnut Hill, FL and Brenda Sharpless (David) Cruce of Loganville, GA; her grandchildren, Scottie (Dodi) Smith and their children, Cain (Haley) Smith, Britni and Hannah Smith; Emma, Legend, Brooklyn, Paityn and Annistyn, Kelli (Curt) Houston, Valerie (Waylon) Rolin, April (Billy) Stewart and Crystal Mancel; sixteen great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren and many family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kevin Fralick officiating.  Interment will follow at Miller Cemetery in Little Rock, AL.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
