Mrs. Anita C. Mancil, 72, of Atmore, AL, passed away on August 21, 2026, in Mobile, AL. She was born in Atmore, AL, on September 26, 1953, to the late Bruce and Carolyn Sharpless Smith. Anita was a kind, devoted Christian woman, generous and caring, who always put others before herself. She loved her family dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ladon Smith.

She is survived by her three daughters, Valerie (Waylon) Rolin of McCullough, AL;  April (Billy) Stewart of Uriah, AL, and Krystal (Mark) Shipps of Atmore, AL. Nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11 AM at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Hogg officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Shipps, Scotty Smith, Waylon Rolin, Billy Stewart, Aquarius Taylor, and Ron Marshall.

Interment will follow in Millers Cemetery in Little Rock, AL.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
