Obituary

Alice White Triplett

January 22, 1941 – July 14, 2026

Alice White Triplett, age 85, passed away on July 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering love for those she cherished.

Alice dedicated many years of her life to serving others through her work.  She was employed by United Bank of Atmore and First National Bank of Atmore before retiring from Vanity Fair.  Although she held many positions throughout her life, the role she treasured most was caring for her beloved husband, Freddie, during the last ten years of his life.  Her love, strength, and selfless devotion during those years were a beautiful testament to the vows they shared.

Following Freddie's passing, Alice returned to Atmore to be closer to her children.  She later enjoyed working part-time at Shirley Darby's Law Office, where she continued to make lasting friendships.

Alice was actively involved in her children's schools and formed lifelong friendships with a special group of women affectionately known as "The Ladies Group."  Their bond has endured through the years, and they continue to gather monthly for lunch—a beautiful testament to the friendships Alice treasured.

Alice never met a stranger.  Full of energy and always on the go, she loved spending time with family and friends, whether meeting for lunch, enjoying shopping trips, or simply sharing laughter together.  She and Freddie especially loved traveling, creating countless treasured memories throughout their 20 years of marriage.

When Alice and Freddie married, two families became one.  She embraced her blended family with all her heart, and the love they shared remained strong long after Freddie's passing.

A lifelong animal lover, Alice had a special place in her heart for every pet she owned.  She leaves behind her beloved cat, Tilly, who has been lovingly adopted by a dear friend.

Alice was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Freddie Glen Triplett; her parents, John McLoud White and Bessie Roberts White; her brothers, Clifford White and Benny White; and her sister, MaBeth Styron.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Francis Barber; her children, Blake (Renee) Malone, Kelly (Charles) Walker, Debbie (Shelby) Smith, Freddie (Debbie) Triplett, Lisa (Billy) Dueitt, and Kenny Triplett; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Alice will be remembered for her generous heart, infectious energy, steadfast devotion to her family, and the lifelong friendships she nurtured.  Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved, and her greatest gift was the love she gave so freely.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, forever cherishing the laughter, kindness, and love she brought into their lives.
