John Edward Hooper

U.S. Veteran

John Edward Hooper, Sr. 69 of Atmore, Al died Tuesday August 31, 2010

In Pensacola, Fl. He served six years in the United States Navy during the

Vietnam War. He was retired Corporal with the Alabama State troopers, was born in Argo, Alabama on December 30, 1940 to John Oscar and Mary Crow Hooper. He grew up in Trussville, Al and graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School.

His Father John Oscar Hooper, A Sister, Dorothy Rhodes and an Infant baby boy preceded him in death.

Survivors are: His wife of 45 years, Virginia Reynolds Hooper of Atmore, Al. One son, John Edward Hooper, Jr. and wife, Dawn of Pelham, Al. One

Daughter, Kimberley Hooper Riggs and husband Mark of Atmore, Al. Mother, Mary Crow Hooper of Birmingham, Al. Two sisters, Betty Crowe of

Birmingham, Al. and Barbara Rich and husband Ralph of Childersburg, Al.

Three grandchildren, Hope and Preston Hooper of Pelham, Al. and Alexandra Riggs of Atmore, Al. Also numerous cousins.

Memorial services will be Saturday September 04, 2010 at 11AM from Johnson-Quimby funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Dukes officiating.

Family will receive friends Saturday morning 1 hr, prior to service time.
